Terms
Terms of Use
Last updated 29 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Vectorsoft Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian company that runs Tablegrub. They cover the Tablegrub app and tablegrub.com. Please read them: by creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
The agreement
"Vectorsoft", "we" and "us" mean Vectorsoft Sdn Bhd. "You" means the person using Tablegrub. Our Community Guidelines are part of these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Tablegrub.
Accounts and who can join
- You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy for you. By creating an account, you confirm that they have.
- One person, one account. Use your own name or a name of your choosing, but do not pretend to be another person or business.
- You sign in with your Apple Account. Keep your phone and Apple Account secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- You may not open a new account if we have closed one of yours for breaking these terms.
Your content
Your content means everything you post or send on Tablegrub: photos, dish names, notes, comments, journeys, and your profile.
- You own it. Posting on Tablegrub does not change that.
- You give us a licence. You give Vectorsoft a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, show, adapt (for example resize or crop) and distribute your content in Tablegrub, on tablegrub.com, and in promoting Tablegrub. We may let our service providers do this for us, only to run Tablegrub.
- When it ends. The licence for a piece of content ends when it is deleted. If you delete your account, your posts stay on Tablegrub under "Former member" instead of your name, so the counts stay accurate, as the Privacy Policy explains. The licence continues for those posts until they are removed, and you can ask us to remove them at any time, before or after you delete your account. Copies in our backups are gone within 12 months.
- You have the rights. You promise that you took the photos you post, or have the right to post them, and that your content does not break anyone's rights or the law.
- It is public. Most of what you post can be seen by anyone, in the app and on the web.
We use daily limits on each account, flags from the community, automatic hiding of heavily flagged posts and our own review to find content that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines. We may remove or hide any such content.
Honest reviews
Tablegrub is only useful if people can trust it. When you post:
- Post only your own photos, taken on that visit.
- Post only real visits or delivery orders that you had.
- Do not post paid or fake reviews. Do not accept money, free food or anything else in return for a post, a like or a flag.
- Do not post about a place you own or work at.
- If you have any other connection to a restaurant, such as a friend or relative who runs it, or a meal you were given free, say so in your post.
- Do not use more than one account, swap reviews, or work with others to push a place up or to bury a post.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
Tablegrub has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Objectionable content means hate, harassment, threats, sexual content, graphic violence, illegal goods and spam. Abusive users are people who post it, or who use Tablegrub to harass, threaten or deceive others.
- You can flag any post or comment, report any profile or journey, and block any person in the app. You can also email us.
- We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours: we remove the content, and we suspend or close the account of the person who posted it.
- For other breaches of the Community Guidelines, such as a photo that is not food, we remove or hide the content. Depending on how serious it is and how often it happens, we may also warn the person, or suspend or close the account.
- Blocking someone hides their posts, comments and journeys from you. They are not told.
Location and journeys you send
Location. If you allow it, the app uses your location while it is open: to pick your zone, to show distances, to suggest new places nearby and to place a new restaurant's pin, as the Privacy Policy explains. Only add places that sell food to the public. Do not pin a private home unless a food business runs from it and wants to be found. The pin becomes the place's public location.
Journeys you send. When you send a journey to someone in the app, they see it, with your name, in their Activity. Send journeys only to people who would want them. Sending them to spam or harass someone is abuse under these terms. If someone sends you journeys you do not want, block them.
Sponsored listings
Some places pay to appear at the top of a zone's page for a set time. These listings are always labelled Sponsored, and they show the place's own counts honestly. Paying never changes a place's visit or like counts or its ranking. Only food businesses can sponsor. A sponsored listing is the sponsor's message, not our recommendation.
Counts, ranks and restaurant details
- Visit and like counts, lists and rankings come from what people post. They are the opinions of users, not statements of fact by us. We do not guarantee them.
- People's ranks, from Diner to Grand Epicure, show how many visits they have shared, not their expertise. A verified reviewer is someone we invited; their posts count the same as everyone else's.
- Restaurant details, such as names, addresses, pins and opening hours, come from users, from restaurants and from Google. They may be wrong or out of date.
- Check with the restaurant before you rely on anything that matters to you, such as opening hours, allergens, or halal or vegetarian status. Tablegrub does not certify any of these, and nothing on Tablegrub is medical or dietary advice.
- Restaurants are independent businesses. We are not responsible for their food, service, prices or premises.
Using Tablegrub fairly
You must not:
- break the law, or help anyone else to, through Tablegrub;
- copy, scrape or harvest content or data from Tablegrub by automated means, or use it to build another database or service;
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- get into other people's accounts, or into parts of our systems you are not meant to reach;
- overload, disrupt or test the security of Tablegrub without our written permission;
- misuse flags or reports, for example to bury honest posts.
Our intellectual property
The Tablegrub name and logo, the app, the website, their design, and the collection of places, dishes and counts belong to Vectorsoft or the people who license them to us. Restaurant names and logos belong to their owners.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial use, under these terms and the App Store terms below. We may end that licence if you break these terms.
The app is provided as is
We work hard to keep Tablegrub useful and running, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. We may change, pause or stop features, or Tablegrub itself.
Limits on our liability
As far as Malaysian law allows:
- We are not liable for content posted by other people, or for anything that happens at a restaurant you found on Tablegrub.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill.
- Our total liability to you for any claim about Tablegrub is limited to RM100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 that cannot be excluded.
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you posted, or because you broke these terms, you are responsible for it, and you will cover our reasonable costs.
Ending your use
- You can stop using Tablegrub at any time, and delete your account in the app or by email.
- We may remove content, or suspend or close your account, if you break these terms or the Community Guidelines, if the law requires it, or to protect other people. We will tell you why, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. You can appeal, as the Community Guidelines explain.
- When your account ends, your licence to use the app ends. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue, such as the licence for posts kept after an account is deleted and the limits on liability, continue.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Tablegrub after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using Tablegrub and delete your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia decide any dispute about them. Before going to court, please write to us. We will try to sort it out with you within 30 days.
App Store terms
If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to it, together with these terms, and so do the points below. If the points below conflict with anything above, the points below win.
- Agreement. This agreement is between you and Vectorsoft only, not with Apple. Vectorsoft, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Licence. Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service allow, except that other accounts linked to your purchase through Family Sharing or volume purchasing may also use it.
- Maintenance and support. Vectorsoft alone is responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no duty at all to provide maintenance or support for it.
- Warranty. Vectorsoft alone is responsible for any warranty, express or implied by law, that has not been disclaimed. If the app fails to meet any warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. As far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty duty of any kind for the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses from a failure to meet a warranty are Vectorsoft's responsibility, not Apple's.
- Claims. Vectorsoft, not Apple, is responsible for dealing with any claims by you or anyone else about the app or your use of it, including: product liability claims; claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement; and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property. If anyone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Vectorsoft, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- Export and sanctions. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo, or one the United States Government has designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Other agreements. When you use the app, you must also follow any terms of third parties that apply, such as your mobile data or internet service agreement.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement. Once you accept it, Apple has the right, and is taken to have accepted the right, to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Questions and complaints. Send questions, complaints or claims about the app to Vectorsoft Sdn Bhd at hello@tablegrub.com.
General
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer these terms, and our rights under them, to another company, for example if Tablegrub is sold. You may not transfer yours.
- These terms, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy, together with Apple's licence agreement for apps from the App Store, are the whole agreement between you and us about Tablegrub.
