Questions

How do I log a visit?

Tap Log a visit, add your photos, choose the place and name each dish. Heart the dishes you loved, then post. Liking any dish counts as liking the place.

How do visit and like counts work?

Every visit someone logs adds to a place's visit count, once a day per person. Only people who logged a visit can like a place, and only once. Lists rank places and dishes by likes over the last 12 months. Counts show once a place has 10 visits, so one or two people cannot put a place at the top. How visits and likes work.

Why can't I like a place?

Only people who logged a visit to a place can like it. Log your visit first.

What do ranks like Diner and Grand Epicure mean?

Ranks are for people, never restaurants. They come from how many visits you share: Diner to start, Insider from 50, Curator from 101, Gastronome from 201, Connoisseur from 301 and Grand Epicure from 401. A rank shows how much someone has shared. It does not change any counts.

Who are verified reviewers?

Food writers and critics we invite. Their profiles and posts carry a badge, and they may show a line about who they are. Their visits and likes count the same as anyone's, and they follow the same rules. There is no way to apply yet, and the badge cannot be bought.

What is a sponsored listing?

A restaurant that has paid to appear at the top of a zone's page for a set time. It is always labelled Sponsored and shows the place's own counts honestly. Paying never changes a count or a ranking. Restaurants who want to sponsor can write to us.

How do I report a post, comment, profile or journey?

Tap the … button on the post, beside the comment, on the profile or on the journey, and choose Flag post, Flag comment, Report profile or Report journey. Pick a reason and submit. A person or our automatic checks look at every flag, a person looks at every profile and journey report, and we act on objectionable content within 24 hours. The person is never told who reported them. More on flagging.

How do I block someone?

Open their profile, tap … and choose Block. You stop seeing their posts, comments and journeys, and you stop following them. They are not told. Unblock any time from their profile or from Settings › Blocked people.

Someone posted my photos.

Flag the post, then email us a screenshot or the username of who posted it, and tell us the photos are yours. We remove photos posted without the owner's permission.

The restaurant I ate at is not on Tablegrub.

Search for it when you log a visit. If it is not listed yet, you can add it from the search results and confirm its name and address. If you are standing there, its pin uses your phone's location.

A restaurant's details are wrong.

Email us the restaurant's name and zone and what needs fixing: its name, address, pin, hours or anything else. Owners are welcome to write too. Claiming your page and keeping your hours up to date in the app are coming soon.

My zone or city is not on Tablegrub.

Email us with the subject "Add my region", and tell us the city and area. We add zones as people ask for them.

How do I remove one of my posts?

Open the post in the app and delete it. It disappears at once, and its photos are deleted with it. If you cannot, email us your username, the place and the date of the post, or a screenshot of it, and we will remove it.

How do I get a copy of my data?

Email us with your username. We reply within 21 days and do not charge. The Privacy Policy lists everything you can ask for.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile, tap the pencil to open Settings, and choose Delete account. Or email us. Your profile and sign-in details are erased. Your posts stay, under "Former member" instead of your name, so the counts others rely on stay accurate. If you want them gone too, ask us at any time, before or after you delete your account. How deleting your account works.
